Into The Future of Food Sustainability and Security

With Singapore’s goal to build up our agri-food industry’s capability and capacity to produce 30% of our nutritional needs locally and sustainably by 2030, Constellar sought to create a showcase platform that would attract leaders and innovators in the global agri-food tech industry to our nation with the Agri-Food Tech Expo Asia.

The Expo was conceived with a key focus on establishing long term partnerships, cross-collaboration and knowledge exchange to empower and enable Singapore’s and the region’s agri-food tech industry.

The Agri-Food Tech Expo Asia’s (AFTEA) inaugural edition in 2022 hosted over 6,000 attendees visiting across the 3-day event at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. As the region’s only agri-food technology focused exhibition showcase, the Expo hosted 163 exhibitors from 24 countries, enabling opportunities to innovate, collaborate and develop solutions.

The aftea experience

The inaugural edition of AFTEA featured a multi-faceted experience for exhibitors and attendees alike, with key focus being placed on knowledge sharing and collaboration through the following mediums:

7 Exhibitions

The exhibition floor was segmented into 7 zones showcasing the farm to fork value chain including: Novel Food Technologies I Urban/ Smart Farming I Aquaculture I Sustainability and Resource Management I Food Processing & Packaging I Food Safety and Security I Superfood Asia; a dedicated focus on go-to-market novel food, plant-based, alternative proteins and sustainable farm fresh produce

Living Lab

A curated showcase of the latest products & innovative solutions from global suppliers, corporates, start-ups, Institutes and governments

Sandbox

With 55 sessions across 2 sandboxes in 3 days, the Sandbox Sessions provided invited speakers and exhibitors an opportunity to present and lead stimulating discussions on the latest advancements in the Agri-Food and Agri-Tech industries.

Industry Guided Tours (In-hall)

To enable attendees to have an immersive and first-hand experience of the exhibitors’ showcases, 10 guided tours with more than 90 participants, co-organised by our supporting partners were executed.

Off-Site Tours

Beyond the main event, AFTEA also organised off site tours to 7 facilities, with over 120 participants

Business Matching

A personal show service that provides an easy-to-use option for our registered trade visitors and conference delegates allowing for quality networking opportunities.

Facilitated Business Meetings

A total of over 460 facilitated business meetings happened at AFTEA with more qualified leads were generated, and partners were sourced with customised and carefully curated networking sessions.
