The Sustainable Urban Agriculture Forum is organised by Republic Polytechnic (RP), in partnership with IPI Singapore and Trendlines Agrifood Innovation Centre. This forum brings together thought leaders and stakeholders in the urban agriculture ecosystem to exchange ideas, discuss emerging trends, challenges and opportunities with the goal of developing a sustainable approach to address domestic and regional food security issues.

This forum will address key questions on how we reconcile the need for food security through urban agriculture against its environmental and economic impacts. Our speakers will discuss the challenges such as the high farming costs and energy consumption. They will also share the latest trends in sustainable farming technologies, the viability of adopting such technologies and their relevance to local and regional farms. Through this interactive forum, we hope to deepen existing collaborations between our industry partners, as well as to facilitate meaningful connections in order to co-create innovative solutions and sustainable urban farming projects.

Programme highlights include:

  • Presentations on the latest trends in sustainable urban agriculture by Singapore and international keynote speakers
  • Project Exhibitions by RP and industry partners
  • Visit to The Greenhouse @ RP
